This page should give you some idea of the kind of radio contacts that members make with other amateur radio stations throughout the world. Many are refered to as DX, meaning a station that is quite distant, not just in terms of miles, but also in terms of what a particular band is capable of. On some bands, worldwide communication is possible quite often, while on VHF and UHF anything more than a little over the horizon is considered quite something.
